I’m bad at math. I’m bad at gambling.
I think legally I needed to add that disclaimer. But now that that’s out of the way I’ll share with you the sole gambling formula I have 1000% figured out over the years. My one foolproof play when I desperately need to get out of a jam.
My number one rule in gambling is absolutely never bet against a streak. Like I said I’m no math guy, but if a team has won 5+ games in a row there is a 99% chance they win the next game. Let’s be real, why would tonight be the night that streak ends? Tonight isn’t so special.
So tonight, for my first ever picks here, we streakin’ baby…

Now that you have unlocked secret to gambling, let’s look at where we are making some money tonight:
Tampa Bay Rays +105 over the Atlanta Braves.
Underdogs. After 8 straight freakin’ wins. I don’t even like the Rays and I am personally and deeply offended by the disrespect Vegas is giving this team. Are the Rays good? Most definitely not. Are the Braves good? Big time. Does that matter? No, not tonight it doesn’t.
Tampa is doing that thing where they go with 100 relievers instead of throwing a starter out there…and I absolutely love it. You do you Rays, and keep winning baseball games.
This team hasn’t lost in damn near 2 weeks, so like I said, why start tonight?

Chicago Cubs -130 over the New York Mets
Let’s lay out the scenario here.
We’ve got a 1st place team that has won 6 straight games and happens to be playing some of their best baseball of the season, verse, well….the Mets.
The Mets do have the best pitcher in baseball going tonight. But, luckily for us, the Mets offense’s absolute favorite thing in the world is to lose games that Jacob deGrom starts. They just love it. They go to unimaginable lengths to make sure they don’t win these games. And I have great faith that the Mets offense will get their wish and blow this one for deGrom as well.
Further, the Mets are facing Cole Hamels tonight, who has been doing his best deGrom impression as of late. No, not the losing part. The part where he goes deep in games without letting up runs. His last 3 starts he has gone 9, 7, and 7 innings letting up a total of 2 runs.
Hamels is our dude tonight. Let’s ride, let’s keep that streak going.
